Full job description

This position is responsible for operating various types of machinery and carrying out the daily tasks assigned by the supervisor. The operator has the ability to successfully setup and operate the machinery by following standard safety, quality, and processing procedures. This position works closely with supervision and planning on the full scope of projects moving through the department. Operator must be flexible and adaptable to assignment changes and will jump in and help when needed. This position is also required to work in a safe and efficient manner and produce products in line with quality standards.

SAFETY

  • Follow standardized work processes and adhere to safe work practices.

  • Inspect machines/tools prior to use and understand safety interlocks and light curtains.

  • Proactive communication of potential safety hazards and risks.

  • Wear appropriate PPE (gloves, glasses, ear plugs, and safety toe shoes).

QUALITY

  • Accurately operate and read tape measure, calipers, squaring table, protractor, and feeler gauges.

  • Demonstrate QC part specification knowledge and capable of checking product against drawings and visual inspection standards.

  • Accurately complete quality check sheets and understand frequency of inspection criteria.

  • Proactive in locating potential quality issues before non-conformity is produced.

  • Understand the negative effects of non-conforming raw material in processing.

  • No consistent issues in quality defects during processing.

Work Hours: Mon - Fri, 6am - 2:30pm

Hourly rate: $24/hr

High School Diploma or GED

3+ years in a manufacturing environment

SAP and EWM application - -

Basic knowledge of production procedures - --

Must have an excellent attendance record - --

Ability to use email in a professional work environment along with proper email etiquette - --

Ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner via phone, email, or personal interaction with both internal employees and outside vendors and customers

Analytical and Troubleshooting Skills

Attention to Detail

Basic experience with Microsoft Office Products

Ability to read production drawings
