What you will do

Fire Sprinkler Inspectors are responsible for the testing and documenting the results of fire protection systems according to NFPA standards.

How you will do it

  • Responsible for meeting customer expectations while performing quality inspections.

  • Perform routine inspections, testing, servicing, and preventative maintenance on water based systems and/or sprinkler systems.

  • Learn to complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding through communication devices, such as laptop computers and/or hard copy.

  • Follow and maintain a highly structured inspection schedule.

  • Input, retrieve and archive inspection documentation program via the laptop computer.

  • Complete assigned inspections on time.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What we look for

Required

  • 3 to 5 years of experience with sprinkler systems

  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and specifications

  • Able to read and interpret technical and parts manuals to diagnose and repair equipment.

  • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions

  • Must be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50-70 pounds

  • Must be able to work on lifts and ladders

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company requirements

  • Must be available to participate in a scheduled after-hours on-call rotation

  • Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test

  • Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.

Preferred

  • State Backflow certified

  • NICET II

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $26.06 - $39.04 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
