About the Role
The Director of Client Engagement, Contract Validation will serve as the primary client-facing lead — owning delivery, relationships, and outcomes across a portfolio of life sciences accounts. This role will provide thought leadership in contract compliance and rebate management to our external customers and to our product and services teams to ensure our offerings provide the optimal experience and outcomes to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
-
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts.
-
Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with market access, finance, and contracting stakeholders at pharmaceutical manufacturers.
Contract Validation Delivery
-
Lead the end-to-end delivery of contract compliance validation engagements using MMIT formulary, coverage, and payer data.
-
Ensure client contract terms are accurately reflected and validated against payer requirements.
-
Collaborate with our data advisors to ensure our customers are receiving optimal outcomes.
Rebate Management Support
-
Support clients in identifying rebate discrepancies, analyzing gross-to-net exposure, and ensuring rebate obligations align with contracted payer commitments.
-
Collaborate with analytics teams to surface insights from MMIT data.
Cross-Functional Coordination
-
Partner with data, analytics, product, and sales teams to translate client needs into deliverables.
-
Coordinate project timelines, resource allocation, and milestone tracking across concurrent engagements.
Service Development & Growth
-
Identify opportunities to expand engagements, refine service delivery methodologies, and contribute to the build-out of scalable contract validation frameworks.
-
Support sales in scoping new client opportunities.
-
All other duties, as assigned.
Required Qualifications
-
5+ years in life sciences consulting, market access, or managed care.
-
Experience with payer contracting, formulary management, or rebate operations.
-
Familiarity with MMIT or equivalent payer data platforms.
-
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
-
Experience operating as a strategic advisor to external clients — not just internal stakeholders.
-
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and define scope independently.
-
Experience optimizing and scaling service offerings.
-
Experience managing complex client engagements end to end including difficult conversations and expectation management.
-
Comfort with ambiguity and building processes.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience with Validata, Model N Flex, IntegriChain ICyte, Deloitte Revenue Guard, or similar contract validation platforms.
-
MBA or advanced degree in health economics, public health, or related field.
-
Background in commercial rebate operations — chargebacks, managed care rebates, gross-to-net accruals.
-
Experience supporting or contributing to pre-sales conversations or new business scoping.
-
Prior experience in a managed services or professional services delivery environment.
-
Experience developing service frameworks, playbooks, or delivery methodologies from scratch.
