Job Description
Supervises day-to-day Environmental Services operations for Memorial Medical Center, ensuring assigned buildings and work areas are maintained in a safe, clean, and operationally effective condition. This onsite PM shift role supports EVS department backfill and growth needs by overseeing staff schedules, timekeeping, daily rounds, supplies, service recovery, issue resolution, productivity, and adherence to Sutter standards, TJC requirements, laws, and regulations. Responsibilities include coaching staff, supporting hiring and performance management processes, maintaining training and competency expectations, coordinating with other departments, identifying workflow gaps, and implementing standard work or process improvements. The supervisor monitors labor utilization and expenses, escalates complex concerns, supports emergency response as needed, and may assist the team during peak periods.

Skills and Requirements
High School Diploma or GED.
5+ years of recent relevant Environmental Services experience.
Experience with Environmental Services operations, workflows, staffing, and department support.
Experience supervising staff, setting expectations, coaching, performance management, and accountability.
Ability to develop schedules, review timekeeping records, and manage staffing to support coverage needs.
Knowledge of applicable local, state, federal, TJC, and department standards.
Experience with issue resolution, service recovery, and cross-department communication.
Ability to manage supplies, records, labor utilization, productivity, and operational priorities.
Proficiency in essential software and applications related to department operations. Experience with terminal procedural cleaning for OR, GI, or Cath Lab areas.
Experience with Lean, continuous improvement, or process improvement methods.
Experience supporting hospital or healthcare Environmental Services teams.
Experience assisting with budget, expense monitoring, and corrective action plans.
Ability to lead training, orientation, competency support, and staff meetings.
Experience preparing reports, analyzing operational trends, and escalating complex issues.
