Job Description

About the Role:

The Quality Supervisor is responsible for ensure all quality functions for the plant are maintained and improved. They are responsible to supervise hourly coordinators and associates; evaluate, train and discipline employees. Will work cross functionally to improve quality FTQ (First time Quality), DPU (Defects per Unit), NUFR (New unit Failure Rate).

Your Responsibilities:

Identifies, analyzes, designs, and implements key quality systems in manufacturing that improve or stabilize product quality

Facilitates/guides problem-solving and process improvement efforts

Provides guidance in resolving supplier issues

Teaches, educates, and trains team to quality systems and skills matrix

Conducts effective training and meetings

Achieves measurable results in process and product quality

Maintains CAR/PAR system for their respective plant.

Maintains and writes SCAR for their respective plant.

Coordinates weekly and yearly body audits/Fleet audits.

Assists and Maintains plants non-conforming process.

Accomplishes quality staff results by communicating job expectations; plans, monitors and appraises job results

Collaborates with peers, subordinates, and supervisors

Other duties as assigned

Let's Talk About Your Qualifications:

Associate degree, Trade or Technical School (required)

Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Kronos (preferred), AS400 (preferred)

Experience with Problem Solving methods, PPAP, PFMEA.

Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience is required.

Minimum 3 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.

An ability to manage multiple priorities

Strong interpersonal and communication skills; communicates effectively with and build good relationships with cross-functional business unit and other department personnel

Builds teamwork within QA and between other departments and levels

Provides motivation and inspiration to individuals by coaching

Resolves conflicts in a constructive way

Make effective decisions/exercises good judgment based on data and facts

Facilitates creative solutions to problems

Is cost conscious and multiplies efforts by working through others

Six Sigma certification is desired

Safety conscious, goal oriented and results driven.

Ability to work in and foster a team environment.

Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.

Knowledgeable and confident in communicating information
