Permanent EC Teacher Substitute
Location: Raeford, NC
Position Type: Full-Time,
Schedule: Monday-Friday, School Hours
Reports To: Principal and EC Department Leadership
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and student-focused Permanent Exceptional Children (EC) Teacher Substitute to support students with diverse learning needs. This position provides consistent coverage for EC classrooms and assists with instructional, behavioral, and classroom support services. The ideal candidate is flexible, collaborative, and committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities

Provide instructional support to students receiving EC services.

Implement lesson plans and activities provided by EC teachers.

Maintain a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment.

Assist with behavior management and student supervision.

Support students with academic, social, emotional, and functional skill development.

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to meet student needs.

Follow all district, school, and special education policies and procedures.

Document classroom activities and communicate student progress as needed.
Qualifications
-
High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.

Previous experience working with children in an educational setting preferred.

Experience working with students with disabilities is highly desirable.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Strong communication and classroom management skills.

Must meet all district substitute teacher requirements.
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the school day.

Ability to assist students as needed in accordance with district guidelines.
