Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, histories, and physical examinations
- Manage preoperative and postoperative cardiothoracic surgery patients
- Perform daily inpatient rounds and coordinate multidisciplinary care plans
- Assist in the operating room as a first assist during cardiothoracic surgical procedures
- Provide postoperative care, including chest tube management, wound evaluations, and patient education
- Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic tests and imaging results
- Develop treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
- Participate in outpatient clinic visits, consultations, and follow-up appointments
- Document patient care accurately and timely within the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, rehabilitation services, and ancillary staff to ensure seamless patient care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program or Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current Florida APRN or PA licensure in the state of Florida
- Current BLS and ACLS certification

Pay Range:
$91,313.86 - $169,845.73 Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)
Certain positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening , including fingerprinting, as required by state law.
