Important skills include Problem Solving, Problem-Solving, Anatomy, Pathology, Physiology, and Proficient English Communication. Preferred (not required): Building Relationships, Clinical Research, Collaboration, and Validation Testing.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT AS OUR CLINICAL DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

This role plays an integral part in improving diagnostic abilities, driving clinical advancements, and optimizing imaging workflow and performance for end-users! You'll think analytically to identify areas for improvement and implement methods to meet goals and advance strategic initiatives. Responsibilities include (but aren't limited to):

  • Building relationships with clinician application leaders in alignment with company targets and objectives
  • Traveling (as needed) to observe on-site workflows and gain insight into clinician outcome requirements
  • Evaluating workflow and visualization goals for targeted applications
  • Performing clinical research to help understand design requirements
  • Helping define clinical requirements related to the realization process
  • Collaborating with product/realization teams and performing validation tests to ensure products are safe, effective, and appropriate for user needs
  • Creating and maintaining related documents, plans, research reports, studies, and more
  • Educating users on technology, trends, workflows, and best practices
  • Gathering, analyzing, and presenting data from studies and evaluations
  • Supporting product education initiatives to ensure seamless adoption and utilization CLINICAL DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST CRITERIA

You need at least one of the following:

  • Completion of a 3-year program in diagnostic medical sonography or ultrasound technology

  • Completion of a 2- to 3-year program in a related allied health field AND a 1 year post-diploma program in diagnostic medical sonography from an accredited institution You also need all of the following:

  • ARDMS (or equivalent) certification in abdomen OR two additional active general imaging or vascular credentials

  • 5+ years of related experience operating ultrasound equipment in a clinical or medical setting

  • 2+ years of direct experience in R&D ultrasound image optimization and system development for general imaging applications (abdominal, small parts, vascular, pediatrics, etc.)

  • Clinical ultrasound teaching experience

  • Commercial ultrasound system installation experience

  • Residence in or willingness to relocate to the St. Louis area
