Full job description
Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Director, Education and Training, the Education and Training Projects Coordinator will launch and support initiatives that allow PPHP to increase its scope and reach as it relates to education, training, and outreach efforts. The Education and Training Projects Coordinator will support the development and implementation of special projects and initiatives aimed to expand PPHP’s Education and Training division’s impact.
Essential Functions:
- Conduct continuous quality improvement projects related to PPHP’s lesson plans, including leading annual lesson plan audits as well as ongoing new lesson plan feedback and development.
- Develop, promote, and deliver sex education programs for youth and parents.
- Oversee Education and Training interns including weekly check-in meetings and managing special projects.
- Analyze internal and external data and maintain annual community mapping project to ensure health equity approach drives Education and Training programming.
- In collaboration with Director of Learning and Equity, ensure education, outreach, and training activities are rooted in an equity framework.
- Increase capacity for Education and Training division’s delivery of Spanish programs, including identifying tools to support Spanish content creation.
- Expand Education and Training division’s ability to provide sex education programming for youth and adults with developmental disabilities, including lesson plan development, relationship building with community partnerships, and identifying ongoing training and evaluation opportunities.
- Assist the Director of Education and Training in coordinating professional trainings for PPHP staff.
- Contribute to the development of grant/funding applications related to Education and Training.
- In collaboration with Director of Education and Training and Vice President of Education and Training, develop and implement evaluation models and quality improvement projects.
Non-Essential Functions:
- Assume additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director, Education and Training.
- Regularly checks personal PPHP email account for important affiliate-related communications, at least every 24 hours.
Qualifications:
Experience, Education and Licensure
- Bachelor’s degree in health education, psychology, social work, counseling, or a related area.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in education/community outreach or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in curriculum design.
- Experience in program evaluation.
- Experience in facilitating youth programs.
- Understanding of and commitment to providing programs utilizing an equity and reproductive justice lens.
- Excellent public speaking, writing, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively with diverse groups of teens, staff and volunteers.
$28.57 - $29.57 plus bilingual compensation incentive PPHP offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, Voluntary Benefits, may be eligible for (Paid) Maternity Leave after one year of employment, Tuition Reimbursement Program, Quarterly Bonus program and a 401(k) Plan with a match.
