How you’ll make an impact in this role

  • Validate medication orders for clinical appropriateness, screening for interactions and contraindications to guarantee maximum patient safety before any drug is dispensed.

  • Compound and dispense specialized medications (including chemotherapy and TPN) in strict accordance with regulatory standards to deliver accurate, high-quality therapies to the bedside.

  • Provide expert clinical consultations to healthcare providers and deliver compassionate, patient-centered education on complex medication regimens to optimize therapeutic outcomes and adherence.

  • Coordinate seamless transitions of care by conducting thorough medication reconciliations upon admission and discharge, effectively preventing errors across the patient journey.

  • Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and residents , driving operational quality control and fostering a culture of continuous professional development.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Pharmacist credentialed from the Wisconsin Pharmacy Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
