Job Description Under the general direction of nursing leadership and with provider collaboration and guidance, the Registered Nurse utilizes evidence-based practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act and policies and procedures of Hartford Healthcare Hospital Outpatient Departments (HODs) and Medical Group, in a variety of clinical settings. This position facilitates care for a varied population of patients, which includes nursing standards of practice to meet the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of the patient and family. /This role requires coverage at Urology office within the East Region bringing variety to your workday and the chance to collaborate across multiple teams and communities./ * Provides nursing care nursing care within a non-acute setting in collaboration with the inter-disciplinary team and provider according to the patients physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of the patient and family. * Coordinates and provides holistic patient centered care. * Utilizes evidence-based practice in accordance with the department and/or medical group policies and procedures to ensure safe quality care and customer service. * Incorporates the art, advocacy, science and ethics in nursing effectively in their daily practice. * Demonstrates and actively supports research utilization through inquiring into evidence-based practices. * Evaluates and reviews the plan of care working with the interdisciplinary team to meet the diverse needs of the patient and family. * Identifies and reliably documents problems and expected outcomes based on a plan of care for a varied population of patients. Education • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. • Associate’s degree in Nursing; BSN, preferred • Successful completion of nurse residency, if applicable. Experience • One year of experience with a minimum of 1000 hours of clinical experience as a licensed registered nurse. • Phlebotomy skills required Licensure, Certification, Registration • Registered Nurse, State of CT • Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA). • Additional certifications may be required in specific specialties With locations around the state, Hartford HealthCare offers exciting opportunities for career development and growth.
