Job Description

Cruz Associates Inc. (CAI) of Yorktown, VA has an open position for a Software Developer. The job location is at Fort Campbell, KY in support of the ARSOAC Aviation Maintenance Directorate (AAMD).

Scope of Performance: The Software Developer will work independently and as part of a team to analyze and devise software solutions, support existing solutions and/or modifications, as well as to delegate or mentor other team members as required. This position will be responsible for creating new and intelligent software solutions that provide efficiencies for the Government customer.

Key Responsibilities:

Provides end-user support and troubleshoot as necessary.

Integrate new technologies into existing products.

Review / debug other developers' work to ensure a robust, quality software product.

Ensure the security and integrity of all applications developed with a devotion to IA coding standards

Provide and maintain appropriate documentation related to source code and other documentation as required.

Provide suggestions to improve current code and code being developed.

Perform modification, testing, and debugging tasks on vendor-supplied utilities and packages to ensure fit with requested operating environment.

Exhibit strong analytical and problem solving skills for design and development of software.

Maintain a fundamental understanding of relational databases.

Analyze systems and suggest or architect solutions with clear designs.

Possess experience designing and coding Object Oriented code projects.

Possess understanding of full software development life-cycle.

Perform additional duties as required.

Perform routine clerical, administrative, and logistics tasks as required in support of the AAMD.

Education and Experience-Required:

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, related technical discipline, or equivalent technical training or work experience.

4 years software engineering or software development experience developing scalable, high-performance applications using .NET, C#/VB, WPF, MS SQL Server.

Proven track record of driving and delivering high quality software products on time and within budget.
