7,500 Sign on Bonus for Full Time LPN’s
Part Time Employees will receive a prorated sign on bonus
The Licensed Practical Nurse, under the guidance and supervision of a Registered Nurse, administers routine services in caring for sub-acute, chronic and convalescent adult/geriatric residents. This care is rendered in accordance with established policies and procedures. To provide necessary nursing care for the residents of this facility in keeping with the Mission, Vision and Goals of Catholic Health Services of Long Island.
Job Details
Responsibilities:

Employee aids in the orientation of new employees

Practices within the LPN scope of practice

Identifies and reports change in resident status to RN in a timely manner

Performs and is knowledgeable of vital signs, medication administration, monitoring lab values, care of resident pre/post procedure , geriatric competency, hospice care, pain mgmt ., resident safety, restraints, isolation precautions/PPE, admission and discharge of patients/residents

Employee is able to provide written and verbal educational material to residents/patients/families, and documents education as per policy

Updates/implements resident plans of care appropriately

Transcribes and documents physician orders accurately using computer order entry system

Accurately reconciles medications upon admission and discharge of resident

Participates in resident feeding and oversees dining areas as assigned
Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.

Licensed as an LPN in New York State

Licensed as an LPN in New York State

Basic computer skills

Previous experience preferred. Knowledge of safety and infection control policies. Knowledge of computer systems and/or prior clerical experience preferred. CPR Certified
Salary Range
USD $31.86 - USD $39.83 /Yr.
This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive , differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job, and it does not include the value of benefits.
