Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $18 - $18 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Peeler Operator:

• Operate veneer-peeling equipment according to production specifications

• Load logs onto the peeler line using conveyors or material-handling equipment

• Monitor machine operation and make adjustments to maintain production quality

• Inspect veneer for proper thickness, defects, and overall quality

• Remove scrap materials and debris from the production area

• Assist with machine setup, blade changes, and routine equipment maintenance

• Identify and report equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or safety concerns

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

• Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment

• Work with team members to meet daily production and quality goals

• Assist in other production areas as needed

Shift Timings: 1st Shift (Day)

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady

• Previous manufacturing, machine operation, or wood-products experience preferred

• Ability to safely operate production and material-handling equipment

• Basic mechanical skills and the ability to assist with machine adjustments

• Strong attention to detail and product quality

• Ability to follow production specifications and verbal instructions

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks

• Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and handle production materials throughout the shift

• Ability to work safely around moving machinery, blades, conveyors, and logs

• Willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Willingness to wear all required personal protective equipment
