Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $18 - $18 / hour*
What you'll be doing as a Peeler Operator:
-
Operate veneer-peeling equipment according to production specifications
-
Load logs onto the peeler line using conveyors or material-handling equipment
-
Monitor machine operation and make adjustments to maintain production quality
-
Inspect veneer for proper thickness, defects, and overall quality
-
Remove scrap materials and debris from the production area
-
Assist with machine setup, blade changes, and routine equipment maintenance
-
Identify and report equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or safety concerns
-
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
-
Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment
-
Work with team members to meet daily production and quality goals
-
Assist in other production areas as needed
Available shifts:
Shift Timings: 1st Shift (Day)
Job requirements:
-
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady
-
Previous manufacturing, machine operation, or wood-products experience preferred
-
Ability to safely operate production and material-handling equipment
-
Basic mechanical skills and the ability to assist with machine adjustments
-
Strong attention to detail and product quality
-
Ability to follow production specifications and verbal instructions
-
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
-
Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and handle production materials throughout the shift
-
Ability to work safely around moving machinery, blades, conveyors, and logs
-
Willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Willingness to wear all required personal protective equipment
