Job Description:

Elevator Worker - Hereford, TX

This is a full-time, hourly position.

Position Summary:

Primary duties involve loading and unloading grain from trucks, railcars, and operate material handling equipment like dryers and conveyors, and performs essential housekeeping and basic maintenance duties to ensure safety and while also maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Potential assignments may include, but are not limited to:

  • Unload and load railcars and trucks

  • Operate Powered Industrial Equipment (forklift, skidd steer, front end loader, etc.)

  • Assist with grain handling

  • General housekeeping duties

  • General maintenance/ equipment inspections, as needed

Job Requirements:

  • Commitment to ADM’s goal of achieving a zero injury culture; understand and follow company safety procedures , as well as a commitment to uphold the ADM Code of Conduct

  • High school education or equivalent

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Valid Driver’s License *

  • Exhibit regular and prompt attendance

  • Able to meet physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to: prolonged periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.), move up to 50 pounds, as well as the ability to wear a respirator

  • Willing to work overtime and weekends, if needed

  • Demonstrate initiative to work independently while flexible enough to work in team setting when needed

  • Exhibit a professional image at all times; maintain a positive and respectful attitude

  • Ability to work near or around dry/liquid fertilizers

  • Ability to operate power industrial equipment

  • Barge loading (for Barge/Terminal locations)

  • Deck Handing (for Barge/Terminal locations)

  • Ability to work near or on water (for Barge/Terminal locations)

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
