Occupational Therapist (working with Birth-5 years of age)

$500 sign-on bonus after 90 days of employment with active cases-10hr weekly minimum

Details about this opportunity:

  • Location: Community Based - Westchester County, NY

All towns in Westchester available

  • Status: Part-Time, Fee for Service or Full time Potential

  • Hours: During and/or afterschool

  • Compensation:

  • Fee for Service: $86-$120/hour for preschool/home/daycare/community OR

  • Full Time, Salary also available

Please note this is a range. Rates are determined by the service provided, professional experience and license/certifications held. In addition the position posted may be either full-time or fee-for-service (FFS), depending on the current caseload which will be discussed during the interview. This arrangement can vary and is subject to change.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement creative individual and/or group therapeutic interventions for all children on your caseload.

  • Administer and write up occupational therapy evaluations.

  • Ongoing communication with lead supervisors & coordinators, specifically related to case management.

  • Maintain professionalism with families, school teams, and other professionals

  • Maintain accurate and timely attendance and billing logs.

  • Create and maintain schedules with assigned individual families/school personnel.

  • Collects data on each IFSP/IEP goal and reports on progress quarterly.

  • Provide input and attend/teleconference initial CPSE/CSE meetings and/or annual reviews.

Responsibilities for Evaluations:

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations in clinic, home and/or preschool based settings

  • Write detailed speech and language evaluation reports demonstrating the child’s abilities and areas of difficulties

  • Work collaboratively with parents, teachers, and the evaluation team

  • Develop appropriate functional goals using IEP direct

  • Graduate from an accredited university with a degree in Occupational Therapy

  • Current New York State Occupational Therapy License (new grads welcome pending licensure)

  • Bilingual is a plus
