Mental Health Worker Partial Care - Per Diem
Location:610 Valley Health Plaza, Paramus, NJ 07652
On-site Per Diem: 3-4 days (preferred) Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:30 - 3:30 pm
Hourly: $20.00

Job Summary:
As a Mental Health Worker in our Partial Care Program, you will work with individuals diagnosed with a Severe and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI) to develop coping skills, to assist with symptom management, to improve socialization, and to improve their functionality to reassimilate into the community. You will gain valuable experience learning how to develop and complete assessment and treatment plans, hone your communication skills, and gain a deeper understanding of government assistant programs.
What You Will Do:

Manage the provision and coordination of program services

Prepare a complete written intake assessment which includes treatment plans, relevant goals, behaviorally-measurable goals that serve as indexes for evaluating treatment progress, and realistic time frames for achievement.

Perform ongoing assessment of consumers by exhibiting knowledge of the age-specific populations, developmental levels, and diagnosis.

Run group sessions with clients.

Provide verbal counseling and crisis intervention services (but not crisis intervention counseling)

Help with the acquisition of transportation and safely transport consumers daily.
What We Need to See:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Mental Health discipline (Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Counseling, Psychiatric Rehabilitation or Criminal Justice)

1 years of verified related work or life experience in mental health, residential, and/or partial care services desirable

A valid driver's license insurable by the agency's automobile insurance.
