Full job description
Overview
Position is responsible for providing a secure environment and reducing public safety risks in the college campus.
Responsibilities
-
Protect persons and property from unlawful activities and provide a safe and secure campus environment.
-
Observe/report unlawful/ unauthorized activities. Identify suspicious people, behaviors and circumstances that may pose a public safety risk and take immediate and appropriate action to prevent incidents.

Patrol campus/buildings. Monitor building conditions and respond to unsafe conditions, hazards and emergency situations. Follow safety guidelines. Respond to public safety alarms and assist with lockouts.

Enforce parking regulations, give directions and respond to requests for assistance and information.

Handle special assignments directed by the Public Safety Director/Supervisors such as driving the campus shuttle between locations on a regular or intermittent basis, special events, reception/visitor building posts and working in command office as needed.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:

Highschool Diploma or equivalent

NYS Security Certification

Valid Driver’s License
-
Minimum of two years in a professional environment

Minimum Salary
USD $21.00/Hr.
Maximum Salary
USD $26.00/Hr.
