Full job description

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-11) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized experience is defined as: Supporting financial and accounting systems while advising on related policies; Conducting business process analysis to evaluate financial regulations and procedures; And/Or Assisting with operational and system change projects. You may qualify for consideration if meeting specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement. Provides advice and assistance to supported organizations and lower graded analysts and/or accounting technicians. Identifies problem areas and determines actions required to improve operating program effectiveness. Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates a variety of incoming reports used by supported organizations to interpret results of operations. Recommends appropriate changes to systems and/or procedures to correct/detect weaknesses. Compiles statistical data from a wide variety of reports and financial statements to make comparisons against DoD policies. Security clearance required: Secret
