Job Summary

Responsible for providing outpatient assessment, counseling and psychological services. Makes referrals as appropriate.

Essential Functions

  • Provides assessment, counseling, and referrals for children, adolescents, individual adults and couples for family, substance abuse, mental health, career and other areas.

  • Establishes and maintains open, professional and positive communications in all aspects of job performance

  • Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and development by participation in staff meetings, in-services, activities, and educational programs for improvement of skills and to maintain competencies and licensure requirements.

  • Interfaces with community personnel and professionals, including teachers, physicians and health care providers, probation officers, pastors and attorneys.

  • Committed to the continuous improvement of the client experience which includes patient safety, quality of care and excellent service. Adheres to the organization’s published values.

Qualifications

  • Required Master's Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field.

  • Two semesters of direct counseling experience. (May be obtained during pre-degree internship.) Required

  • Must possess a high level of knowledge of counseling techniques Required

  • CRT-At least one License and/or Certification in area of specialty - UNKNOWN Unknown required
