Job Duties

Start Date: 09/01/2026

End Date: 12/31/2026

Work hours: 50 hours/week, Monday - Saturday, 9 hours/day (5 hours/day on Saturday); 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Job Duties:

We operate an agriculture business in Minnesota, where we plant and harvest a variety of crops including corn, sugar beets, and soybeans, and organic corn and Sunflowers. We utilize a variety of farm equipment including tractors, wheel loaders, skid loaders, forklifts, and excavator/backhoe. Employees will assist with planting, spraying, spreading fertilizer and manure, and cultivating, operating combine on corn and soybeans, tillage, rock picking, and hauling seed, chemicals, grain or turkey litter. Employees will keep accurate records of seed, chemicals, grain and turkey litter. Employees will operate grain storage equipment and irrigation systems, as well as clean ditches with excavators and/or other equipment and box scraping to level land. Employees will assist with all aspects of growing these crops, and complete general farm duties as assigned. Employees will need to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Job requires a regular driver's license (class D).

Additional Compensation

The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience.

Employer may also, at its sole discretion, offer performance-based incentive bonuses that are not guaranteed and are determined by the employer.

Workers returning for a consecutive season will be paid at the previous season’s rate if that rate exceeds the current published rate.

As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay.

Job Benefits

EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.78 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts (Updated 04/07/2026). Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.

Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.
