Reports to the Sergeant - Officer in Charge of Security and Public Safety

Performs main and satellite campus duties in cooperation with on-site management

Assists with the functions related to securing college property

Conducts periodic patrols of all buildings and ground

Uses a watch tour system to verify a check of each station

Reports all unusual conditions; monitors and operates all alarm systems

Assists with monitoring the Building Management System and Building Surveillance System as needed

Reports motor vehicle accidents within the limits of the college campus

Provides emergency first-aid as needed

Reports various campus incidents to security management

Participates in first-aid and CPR training

Provides basic customer relations services

Meets, greets and directs students and campus visitors

Performs related duties as assigned
Typical Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Able to be certified in CPR & First Aid
Must have a telephone, reliable transportation and valid N.J. driver’s license in good standing
Supplemental Information
- Terms of Employment:
This position may require flexible scheduling to include day, evening and weekend shifts at any Atlantic Cape location. This is a part time positions requiring up to 26 hours per week.
Tuition Waiver - adjuncts may enroll for one credit course, tuition-free, during any semester they are teaching.
Paid sick leave in accordance with the NJ Paid Sick Leave Law
ABP (Alternate Benefit Program (https://www.state.nj.us/treasury/pensions/pension-active-abp.shtml) is a defined contribution retirement program for adjuncts. Adjuncts contribute 5% of base salary and the college contributes 8% of base salary. There are seven State-authorized ABP investment carriers. Life insurance benefits through ABP are payable to the beneficiary at 3.5X the member's salary.
