Full job description

About House Rx House Rx is a healthcare technology company transforming how specialty medications are managed and delivered within physician practices. We operate in a highly regulated environment where security, reliability, and operational excellence matter every day. We're looking for a hands-on Senior Corporate IT Engineer to own and scale the technology that supports our workforce. This role spans endpoint management, identity and access, SaaS administration, automation, security, and the employee lifecycle.

About the Role You'll own and improve the systems behind House Rx's day-to-day operations, including Windows and macOS devices, MDM platforms, identity systems, SaaS applications, endpoint security controls, and onboarding and offboarding workflows. This is a systems ownership role, not primarily a ticket-based support position. You should be comfortable investigating complex problems, managing systems end to end, writing scripts, improving processes, and partnering with Security, Engineering, People, and Operations.

What You'll Do

  • Own endpoint management across Windows and macOS, including provisioning, MDM policies (Iru, Microsoft Intune, PDQ), software deployment, patching, encryption, compliance, and standards for the complete device lifecycle.

  • Administer core identity and SaaS platforms such as Okta, Google Workspace, and Slack, including SSO, SCIM, groups, roles, permissions, MFA, device trust, and access policies.

  • Manage employee lifecycle workflows, including onboarding, role changes, access reviews, offboarding, and deprovisioning.

  • Automate repetitive IT workflows using PowerShell, Bash, Python, APIs, or workflow automation platforms.

  • Serve as the senior escalation point for complex issues spanning endpoints, identity, SaaS applications, networking, and security tooling.

  • Partner with Security on endpoint controls, least-privilege access, logging, incident response, and audit readiness across HIPAA, SOC 1, SOC 2 Type II, and HITRUST.

  • Build clear documentation, runbooks, and repeatable processes - and fix recurring problems at the system level so IT scales cleanly as House Rx grows. What We're Looking For

  • Demonstrated experience owning corporate IT systems and leading complex, cross-functional technology initiatives from design through implementation.

  • Experience managing Windows and macOS environments in a cloud-first organization, with hands-on use of endpoint platforms such as Iru, Microsoft Intune, PDQ, Jamf, or Mosyle.

  • Experience administering identity and SaaS platforms such as Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, or Microsoft 365, with a strong grasp of SSO, SCIM, MFA, RBAC, least privilege, and identity lifecycle management.

  • Confidence with scripting and automation, particularly PowerShell in Windows environments.

  • The ability to independently troubleshoot complex problems across devices, identity systems, SaaS applications, networks, and security tooling.

  • Strong documentation habits, sound judgment around security and privacy, and a focus on building reliable, repeatable systems. Nice to Have

  • Experience in healthcare, financial services, or another regulated industry.

  • Familiarity with HIPAA, SOC 1, SOC 2, HITRUST, or similar compliance frameworks.

  • Experience with device trust, conditional access, endpoint compliance, or zero-trust controls.

  • Familiarity with asset management, procurement, vendor management, or IT budgeting.

  • Experience supporting distributed or hybrid teams.

  • Familiarity with endpoint monitoring, vulnerability management, EDR, or SIEM workflows. You Might Be a Great Fit If

  • You enjoy owning systems, not simply closing tickets.

  • Repetitive manual work makes you look for opportunities to automate.

  • You understand that effective SaaS administration requires thoughtful architecture, governance, and ongoing maintenance.

  • You're equally comfortable troubleshooting a Windows policy, fixing an Iru deployment, and cleaning up Okta groups.

  • You care about strong security controls-and about making technology work well for real people.

  • You enjoy building the systems and processes that help a growing company scale. In particular, we offer:

  • Flexible work hours and flexible paid time off

  • Work remotely

  • Generous parental leave

  • Comprehensive healthcare, vision and dental benefits

  • Competitive salary and equity stake

  • We’re backed by forward-thinking investors committed to transforming healthcare, including Bessemer Venture Partners, First Round Capital, LRV Health, Khosla Ventures, Maverick Ventures, 1984.vc, and Character The base salary range for this role is $140,000 - $170,000 plus meaningful equity stake

This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary. Actual compensation will depend on experience, knowledge, and skills. Packages also include equity, flexible paid time off, and benefits.
