Large Business Account Manager Opportunity

Position Overview & Key Responsibilities
- Manage and service a large commercial insurance book of business consisting primarily of mid-sized to large accounts
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients after new business is written and policies are bound
- Handle policy servicing activities including endorsements, policy changes, certificates of insurance, coverage inquiries, and account maintenance
- Coordinate renewal marketing efforts by gathering underwriting information, preparing submissions, and working closely with producers and carrier partners
- Manage complex commercial accounts with multiple entities, subsidiaries, and locations
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and responsive service
- Collaborate with producers to support client retention, renewal strategies, and account growth opportunities
- Work directly with insurance carriers to address coverage issues, policy changes, and renewal negotiations
- Maintain accurate client records and policy documentation within the agency management system
- Assist clients with day-to-day insurance needs while ensuring a high level of service and professionalism
- Participate in a structured transition process with senior leadership to ensure continuity of service and a seamless transfer of client relationships
- Support a growing book of business while maintaining strong attention to detail and organizational excellence
Qualifications & Requireme
- Active Property & Casualty insurance license required
- Minimum of 5–6+ years of commercial lines insurance experience
- Previous experience managing large commercial accounts with annual premiums exceeding $30,000
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance coverages, policy servicing, renewals, endorsements, and account management process
- Experience utilizing agency management systems or similar insurance software platforms
- Excellent client relationship management and customer service skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and complex client needs
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability
- Experience working directly with producers, underwriters, and carrier partners
- Professional communication skills with the ability to manage sophisticated client relationships
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
- CIC designation preferred; candidates without the designation should be willing to pursue it with company sponsorship
- Demonstrated employment stability and commitment to long-term professional growth
- Leadership potential and interest in future management opportunities are highly valuable
