About the role
G2 Risk Solutions is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Controller to join our fast-paced finance team as a maternity leave replacement.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency. This position requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.

Prepare monthly financial reports and cash flow reports.

Perform payroll-related activities, including payroll analysis, payroll validation, payroll data reconciliation, and payroll payslip reviews, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations.

Support employee-related financial processes, including onboarding, terminations, Form 161 preparation, and coordination with payroll providers and HR.

Monitor accounts receivable and collections activities.

Support revenue accounting processes, including revenue recognition, deferred revenue, unbilled revenue, and commission calculations.

Maintain accurate accounting record of intercompany processes.

Support annual audit processes and coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and consultants for statutory audits, and tax returns. Requirements · 2+ years of experience as an Assistant Controller at a tech startup - a must

CPA with a Big 5 firm experience – a must

Proven experience in applying US GAAP standards - a must

Excellent level of English (written and verbal) - a must
