About the Role:
The Senior Director, People Technology will serve as a key strategic leader, responsible for shaping and executing the enterprise-wide vision for people technology. This role will drive transformational initiatives across HR systems, and digital platforms to enable scalable, data-driven, and future-ready workforce solutions. The Senior Director will collaborate closely with executive stakeholders to align technology strategy with business goals, ensuring operational excellence and innovation across all people technology domains.
Job Responsibilities:
Define and lead the enterprise people technology strategy in alignment with organizational and HR priorities.
Oversee the architecture, implementation, and optimization of HR systems and platforms to support scalable growth and workforce agility.
Lead cross-functional teams across HRIS and technology integration, fostering a high-performance culture.
Partner with C-suite and senior executives to drive digital transformation and organizational effectiveness through technology.
Manage and optimize multi-million-dollar budgets across HR technology portfolios, ensuring ROI and strategic impact.
Champion innovation in HR technology, including AI, automation, and emerging platforms to enhance employee experience and operational efficiency.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key vendors, consultants, and technology partners.
Drive change management and adoption strategies for large-scale HR technology implementations.
Develop and mentor senior leaders and technical experts within the People Technology function.
Establish governance frameworks, performance metrics, and executive dashboards to measure technology effectiveness and business impact.
Serve as a thought leader and advisor on HR technology trends, risks, and opportunities.
Lead strategic initiatives and transformation programs that span HR, IT, and business operations.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in HR technology, with at least 8 years in senior leadership roles.
Demonstrated success in leading enterprise HR technology strategy and transformation.
Proven ability to influence and collaborate with C-level executives and senior stakeholders.
Deep expertise in HR systems architecture, digital platforms, and workforce analytics.
Strong financial acumen and experience managing large-scale technology investments.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
Experience leading global HR technology implementations and enterprise change initiatives.
Track record of driving innovation, operational excellence, and measurable business outcomes.

We are committed to fair, transparent pay, and we strive to provide competitive compensation in addition to a comprehensive benefits package. The range below represents Wiley's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting roles in the United Kingdom, Canada, USA, Austria, Czechia, Denmark, France, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Romania, or Spain. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall within the range, however the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
