Louisa Foods is looking for Maintenance Supervisor. The 1st shift Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the repairs, installations, and upkeep of equipment and facilities. Supervise maintenance crew. This is a hands-on supervisor role , whereas the Maintenance Supervisor must be able to step in and help the maintenance crew when needed. Work is Monday through Friday (possible Saturday work as needed).

  • Must have expensive knowledge and background with equipment and machinery. Preferably associated with the food manufacturing and processing industry. · Schedule, follow-up, coordinate all maintenance work.

  • Directly involved in troubleshooting and repair as required.

  • Responsible for training of subordinates, as needed.

  • Deal directly with major vendors and purchase needed parts (other than what is ordered by maintenance purchasing agent).

  • Make recommendations for process improvements, and justify machinery purchases.

  • S upervise a crew of up to ten (10) maintenance persons, coordinate their efforts, handle performance evaluations, disciplinary matters and all related personnel needs.

  • May be given specific projects and assignments as required by upper management .

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferred.

  • In-depth knowledge of maintenance, facilities, and parts/tools.

  • Ability to succeed in an agile work environment where cross-functional teams work closely together to ensure requirements are met or exceeded.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve the company and project goals.

  • Ability to demonstrate interpersonal and teambuilding skills, working with technical and non-technical individuals.

Physical Demands: Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, and bend as required for the entire shift. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Must be able to work in a wet environment with moderate to high noise volume. Must be able to handle constant exposure to variable temperatures in the factory.
