Full job description

Clean Harbors is looking for a Paralegal to sit in Norwell, MA. The Paralegal position will be primarily working in the area of (i) contract review and management and (ii) environmental licensing and permitting. In addition, the position will support the General Counsel with a variety of tasks.

  • Review and negotiate changes to transactional documents.

  • Prepare and submit license/permit applications.

  • Routinely, assist in house counsel in managing the contracts workflow.

  • Check legal forms and documents for accuracy/consistency.

  • Summarize documents and prepare reports as needed.

  • Maintain various statistical databases required by management for reporting/auditing purposes.

  • Draft routine/complex correspondence to internal clients, external counsel, customers and various local, state and federal agencies as directed.

  • Serve as a communications link between and in-house counsel and internal clients.

  • Locate and communicate with internal employees.

  • Other duties as required

  • Paralegal Certificate, Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor’s degree preferred)

  • Contracts Paralegal experience is preferred

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
