Senior Cloud Engineer Location: Pleasanton, CA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

  • 5+ years of experience building, deploying, or operating cloud-native applications using Kubernetes and Docker

  • Strong proficiency in Linux or Windows system administration

  • Experience with shell scripting and automation tools

  • Proven experience running Docker in production environments

  • Solid understanding of web technologies such as HTTP/S, HTML, JavaScript, XML, and CSS

  • Working knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., C#, PowerShell, Java, Go, Ruby, ASP.NET, or similar)

  • Experience working with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP)

  • Familiarity with distributed systems and cloud-first architectures

  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Exposure to Kubernetes environments outside of public cloud (e.g., on-prem or hybrid setups)

  • Experience working with or contributing to open-source technologies

  • Familiarity with Agile development practices and CI/CD pipelines

  • Ability to write clean, scalable, and maintainable code

  • Understanding of networking fundamentals and distributed computing concepts

  • Strong sense of ownership and ability to deliver solutions end-to-end

  • Passion for learning new tools and technologies in a fast-paced environment

What You’ll Be Doing Core Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain scalable infrastructure across cloud environments (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP)

  • Install, configure, and maintain databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB

  • Design and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies

  • Support and optimize DevOps toolchains including Jenkins, Artifactory, Consul, and similar tools

  • Build and manage Kubernetes clusters for containerized workloads

  • Deploy and maintain open-source technologies such as Docker, Prometheus, Elasticsearch, and Fluentd

  • Develop monitoring solutions to ensure system performance and reliability

  • Diagnose and resolve production issues to maintain uptime and system health

  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to promote cloud-native best practices

  • Lead smaller technical initiatives and contribute to larger infrastructure projects

  • Participate in on-call rotation to support production systems
