Special Education School Aide

We are seeking compassionate, dependable School Aides to support students in special education classrooms across premier school districts in North County San Diego. This is a meaningful opportunity to help students succeed academically, behaviorally, and personally in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Position Overview

As a School Aide, you will work closely with special education teachers and support staff to assist students who require instructional, behavioral, physical, and/or therapeutic support. You will contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment.

Responsibilities may include:

• Providing 1:1 or small group instructional support under teacher supervision

• Assisting with behavior management and implementing behavior intervention plans

• Supporting students with personal care, mobility, and health-related needs as directed

• Promoting student independence, engagement, and social-emotional development

• Collaborating with educators, therapists, and related service providers

• Maintaining a positive, respectful, and structured classroom atmosphere

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Ability to comply with all applicable professional standards and district guidelines

• Current CPR certification (if required by assignment)

• TB clearance (PPD, questionnaire, or chest x-ray as applicable)

• Current health certificate (per contract or state requirements)

• Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
