Location: Greater New Haven, CT Area

Schedule: Monday-Friday | Day Shift Only

No Nights | No Weekends | No On-Call

About the Opportunity

A leading orthopedic practice in the Greater New Haven area is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join its growing clinical team. This is an excellent opportunity for an RT who enjoys working directly with patients in a fast-paced outpatient environment while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

You'll work alongside orthopedic physicians and clinical staff providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to support patient diagnosis and treatment. This position offers exposure to a wide variety of orthopedic cases, collaborative team support, and the opportunity to work within a respected, patient-centered practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations including X-ray and fluoroscopy procedures.

  • Prepare patients for imaging studies by explaining procedures and addressing questions or concerns.

  • Position patients appropriately to obtain diagnostic-quality images.

  • Operate radiology equipment while ensuring adherence to radiation safety standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Review imaging quality and adjust equipment settings as needed to produce optimal results.

  • Maintain accurate imaging documentation and physician orders within the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

  • Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance or repair needs promptly.

  • Assist patients with limited mobility, including transfers to and from wheelchairs and imaging tables.

  • Support orthopedic providers with durable medical equipment (DME) applications including splinting, bracing, booting, and casting as directed.

  • Maintain exam rooms, imaging areas, and supplies to ensure efficient daily operations.

  • Follow all patient safety, compliance, and incident reporting protocols.

  • Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure exceptional patient care and workflow efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

  • Current Connecticut Radiologic Technologist License.

  • ARRT certification required.

  • Ability to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures independently.

  • Knowledge of radiation safety practices and imaging protocols.

  • Strong interpersonal and patient communication skills.

  • Experience utilizing EMR systems and maintaining accurate documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an orthopedic, outpatient, or specialty practice setting.

  • Experience with fluoroscopy procedures.

  • Knowledge of sterile technique.

  • Ability and willingness to cross-train in additional clinical support functions.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $74880.00 - $99840.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
