Full job description

The accountant will maintain accurate financial reports, support financial reporting, and ensure compliance with accounting standards. This role will primarily focus on core accounting functions while also supporting Accounts Receivable (AR) activities as needed.

Duties

  • Maintain accurate books of accounts, ledgers, and general ledgers
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss (P&L) statements, and cash flow reports
  • Conduct internal audits, assess financial risks, and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
  • Analyze financial data and operations to identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve profitability and reduce costs
  • Advise management on financial matters and provide data-driven insights to support strategic financial decisions
  • Generate and send customer invoices, process payments, and prepare bank deposits
  • Reconcile customer accounts, accounts receivable ledger, and bank statements to ensure accuracy
  • Prepare A/R aging reports and contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Post A/R transactions to the general ledger and provide support for other accounting and A/R tasks
  • Assist in other areas, complete special projects, and perform other duties as needed Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required

  • 5+ years’ experience in an accountant or similar role

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting

  • CPA is strongly preferred

  • NetSuite experience strongly preferred
