Job Duties

•Inspect all work for accuracy, and communicate with sales staff throughout the drafting process to ensure final design conforms to specifications.

•Assist with purchasing of parts including: entering parts in Global Shop system, creating bill of materials, obtaining price quotes, preparing purchase orders and other purchasing duties as assigned.

•Maintain a high degree of confidentiality regarding company products, customer product development, patents and other ‘company private’ information.

•Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

•Maintain company safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity standards.

Minimum Education Required

  • Two year degree in Mechanical Design or similar field.

  • Two or more years design/drafting experience in a manufacturing setting.

  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum Experience Required

•Knowledge of Solidworks software.

•Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

•Strong mechanical aptitude.

•Knowledge of engineering principles and nomenclature.

•Knowledge of basic math skills.

•Ability to accurately measure objects using hand-held measuring tools
