Full job description

Product Marketing Manager Location: On-site in San Jose, California, USA Reports to: VP of Marketing, Barcelona, Spain Start Date: Early September 2026

Level: Fluid for Product Marketing Manager or Senior

Help define how the world understands Physical AI. At Trener, we're building the intelligence layer for industrial robots.

Our software platform, Acteris, enables industrial robots to understand their environment, make intelligent decisions, and execute complex manufacturing tasks with minimal programming. By combining AI, robotics, and industrial software, we're helping manufacturers automate production with a level of flexibility that wasn't previously possible.

Backed by leading investors and working alongside global robot manufacturers, semiconductor companies, and automation partners, we're helping define a new category: Physical AI platform for industrial robots.

As we continue to grow, the (Senior) Product Marketing Manager will play a foundational role in shaping how Trener is positioned in the market and accelerating our next stage of growth.

Your Mission As our first dedicated Product Marketing hire, you'll partner closely with the VP of Marketing to build the Product Marketing function and define Trener's positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy.

Working across Product, Sales, Engineering, and executive leadership, you'll transform complex AI and robotics technology into compelling customer value through product launches, commercial enablement, and world-class storytelling for manufacturers, partners, robot OEMs, semiconductor companies, and investors.

We're looking for a hands-on builder who combines strategic thinking with exceptional execution and thrives in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities Working closely with the VP of Marketing and cross-functional teams, you will:

  • Drive product positioning, messaging, and category development across our products, applications, industries, and target audiences, ensuring Trener is clearly differentiated in the market.

  • Develop a deep understanding of customers, partners, competitive intelligence, and market trends to continuously refine positioning and messaging.

  • Lead go-to-market planning and execution for new products, features, industries, and applications, from positioning and launch strategy to commercial enablement.

  • Own sales, marketing, and partner enablement, including customer success stories, partner case studies, competitive assets, and commercial proof points.

  • Partner with executive leadership on keynote presentations, strategic announcements, investor communications, and major company messaging.

  • Support US field marketing initiatives, including conferences, trade shows, customer visits, partner events, and product demonstrations.

  • Contribute hands-on to digital marketing initiatives, including website content, SEO, campaigns, marketing automation, and demand generation, while ensuring consistent product positioning across every customer touchpoint.

  • Build scalable Product Marketing processes, frameworks, and best practices that support Trener's long-term growth.

  • This role requires travel within the United States to support customer visits, partner meetings, conferences, and trade shows.

What Great Looks Like Experience

  • 8+ years of Product Marketing experience in B2B technology, with a strong background in software, AI, or enterprise platforms. Experience in robotics is preferred, while industrial automation or manufacturing software is highly desirable.

  • Proven experience bringing products to market through positioning, messaging, go-to-market strategy, launches, and commercial enablement.

  • Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Engineering, and executive leadership in fast-growing or venture-backed technology companies.

  • Hands-on experience in both Product Marketing and Digital Marketing, with a solid understanding of demand generation, website strategy, SEO, marketing automation, and field marketing.

Skills & Capabilities

  • Exceptional storytelling skills, with the ability to transform complex technologies into compelling customer value through presentations, product and demo videos, websites, product collateral, and sales enablement.

  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on, execution-focused mindset and a proven ability to deliver high-quality outcomes.

  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools and workflows to accelerate product marketing, content creation, research, and commercial execution.

Attributes

  • Creative, customer-centric, and naturally curious, with a bias for action and strong attention to detail.

  • Comfortable building from scratch, collaborating across functions, and thriving in fast-moving environments.

What You'll Get

  • The opportunity to build the Product Marketing function.

  • A defining role in shaping the positioning and commercial narrative of one of the industry's most ambitious Physical AI companies.

  • Direct collaboration with the CEO and leadership team on product strategy, company messaging, and commercial initiatives.

  • Exposure to some of the world's leading robotics, manufacturing, and semiconductor companies.

  • A highly visible role with meaningful ownership and the opportunity to influence company growth from an early stage.

  • Equity as part of your compensation package.

If you're excited about helping define a new category in AI and robotics, building Product Marketing from the ground up, and creating the stories that shape an industry, we'd love to hear from you.
