Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of braking systems - ABS/ Disc/Drum for 2-wheelers, ensuring high performance, safety, and durability.
- Perform design calculation for brake system sizing and predict brake performance by considering regulatory requirements and ensuring the product met according to homologation standards.
- Continuously research and implement innovative braking technologies for electric 2-wheelers.
- Manage the complete lifecycle of the braking system, from concept and design to manufacturing and post-launch support.
- Work closely with R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to ensure timely and successful integration of braking systems into the final product.
- Intraction suppliers and vendors, ensuring the performance requirements are met.
- Address Quality issues and provide solutions timely to the cross functional teams.
- Sound knowledge in System / Sub system / component level testing.
- Conduct root cause analysis on failures and propose design improvements.
Ideal Candidate
- B.E / BTech in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering.
- Overall 3 to 5 years of experience in brake system development . (Minimum 2 complete product life cycle development experience is preferable).
- In-depth knowledge of brake system components (calipers, rotors, pads, ABS, CBS), materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with standards and regulatory requirements related to brake systems.
- Proficiency in CAD- SolidWorks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in cross-functional teams.
