Job Title: HVAC Technician

Location: Midland, Texas

Type: Direct Hire

Compensation: $24.00 - $32.00/hr

Contractor Work Model: Onsite – onsite

Overview

The Stationary Engineer is responsible for maintaining, operating, monitoring, and repairing all utilities and related central plant equipment and respond to maintenance requests for assistance to hospital, clinic and supporting facilities. Also responsible for maintaining the central plant in good, clean working condition maintains preventative maintenance (P.M.), and scheduling and completing corrective maintenance to all equipment in a timely and professional manner actively documenting all activities and maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, operate, monitor, and repair utilities and central plant equipment at hospital, clinic, and supporting facilities.

  • Respond to maintenance requests and assist in maintaining central plant operations.

  • Perform preventative maintenance, schedule, and complete corrective maintenance activities in a timely and professional manner.

  • Monitor and operate power plant equipment, inspecting and adjusting for maximum efficiency.

  • Troubleshoot engineering systems and equipment following manufacturer guidelines.

  • Adjust heating and cooling schedules via Energy Management System based on building loads.

  • Conduct building rounds and equipment inspections, documenting findings accurately and reporting issues.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience with water treatment for heating and cooling systems.

  • Knowledge of HVAC/Temperature controls, Energy Management Systems, and computer operations related to building climate control.

  • OSHA Basic, NFPA70E certifications.

  • Basic math skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to remain professional under stress and multitask effectively.

  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Associates degree in Operating Engineering preferred.

  • Willing to travel 0-5% of the time to job sites or offices.

  • Physical ability to ascend ladders, operate machinery, and handle objects weighing 20-100 pounds; capable of working in various environments including confined spaces and outdoor elements.
