Job Title: Senior Electrical EngineerJob Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a growing research and development team dedicated to creating advanced power-electronics products. This highly hands-on role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working in the lab, solving complex technical challenges, and contributing across the full product lifecycle from concept through production. You will influence system architecture, design direction, and engineering processes while collaborating closely with manufacturing, testing, and global engineering teams, and you will have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop power-electronic circuits and systems, including AC/DC and DC/DC conversion, protection circuitry, and control electronics.

  • Perform schematic design, component selection, and circuit simulation to meet performance, reliability, and safety requirements.

  • Support PCB layout activities by providing clear guidance on component placement, routing, and design constraints.

  • Lead prototype builds, including hardware bring-up, debugging, and validation testing in the lab.

  • Create and execute comprehensive electrical test plans covering performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams on design-for-manufacturability (DFM), design-for-test (DFT), and production ramp activities.

  • Participate actively in design reviews and technical decision-making, providing data-driven recommendations and feedback.

  • Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions for electrical failures and field issues.

  • Maintain clear and thorough technical documentation, including schematics, test reports, design records, and change histories.

  • Work closely with external test laboratories to plan, execute, and document compliance and certification testing.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline.

  • 7+ years of experience in electrical or power-electronics design.

  • Strong background in AC/DC and/or DC/DC power conversion topologies and applications.

  • Proven experience designing robust, reliable, and well-protected power-electronic circuits.

  • Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB design tools.

  • Hands-on lab experience bringing up, debugging, and validating power circuits and systems.

  • Solid understanding of electrical safety principles, grounding practices, and EMI/EMC fundamentals.

  • Ability to develop and execute electrical test plans for performance, reliability, and compliance.

  • Experience collaborating with manufacturing on DFM, DFT, and production ramp.

  • Strong documentation skills for schematics, test results, and design records.

  • Ability to work fully on-site with the engineering and lab teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with surge, transient, or lightning testing (such as IEC 61000-4-5, IEEE C62.41, or similar standards).

  • Familiarity with UL 1449 or comparable product safety and compliance standards.

  • Knowledge of EMC/EMI testing methods and mitigation techniques at the board and system level.

  • Experience working with external test laboratories for compliance and certification activities.

  • background in industrial, high-reliability, or energy-related products and applications.

  • Experience supporting products from initial concept through volume production.

  • Exposure to IEC and IEEE standards relevant to power electronics and electrical safety.

  • Comfort participating in cross-functional reviews and mentoring junior engineers.

Work Environment

This is a fully on-site role in a lab-centric R&D environment. You will spend significant time working hands-on with power-electronic hardware, including prototypes and test setups, alongside other engineers and manufacturing partners. The work involves close collaboration with global engineering and test teams, as well as coordination with external test laboratories for compliance and certification. The environment emphasizes rigorous testing, adherence to IEC, IEEE, UL, and EMC/EMI standards, and clear technical documentation throughout the product lifecycle. Appropriate professional attire suitable for an engineering lab and office setting is expected.
