Field Service Engineer

Location: Perrysburg, OH

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer to support the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of advanced vacuum coating systems and auxiliary equipment. This role involves direct customer interaction, technical support, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform installation, commissioning, and service of vacuum coating systems and related technologies.

  • Develop a detailed understanding of customer technical requirements and performance needs.

  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical and technological issues, implementing corrective actions.

  • Provide customer support via phone, email, and on-site assistance, including after business hours.

  • Document and report service activities in accordance with company guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Degree in mechanical or electronic engineering technology or a related qualification such as certified technician in mechanical engineering or mechatronics.

  • Experience in installing, commissioning, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex electro-mechanical systems and semiconductor equipment.

  • Basic knowledge of plasma physics and vacuum technology, including pumping systems and leak detection.

  • Familiarity with material handling, sensor technology, and transport systems.

  • Ability to work independently with a customer-oriented approach and minimal supervision.
