POSITION SUMMARY:

Fulfill the daily production demands of a Vancouver manufacturing facility as

indicated by either the production schedule and/or leadership.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Comply to all Vancouver and corporate safety rules, regulations, and policies.

  • Prep for packaging activities, operate packaging equipment in compliance with SOPS, GMPs, ISO/FSSC/HACCP and safety guidelines and requirements.

  • Clean up and maintenance of plant, plant grounds and equipment.

  • Document all required data for process operation, testing, cleaning and sanitation activities, (manually and electronically).

  • Restock supplies, operate forklift and pallet jack, load/unload delivery trucks, recycle product and prepare product.

  • Understand and comply with all production quality system SOPs and documents, safety policies and SDS.

  • Work with operation team to increase knowledge of process and equipment operation and to assume more Operator II responsibilities and duties as appropriate.

  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred and a minimum 1 year in manufacturing environment.

  • Must have or be able to obtain forklift operators permit.

  • Must have strong work ethic; be detail oriented; be able to rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

  • Demonstrable mechanical ability and mathematical skills.

  • Ability to read, understand and interpret charts, graphs, documents, manuals, etc.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Exposure to powder and heavy equipment in a manufacturing environment.

  • Position may require walking and standing long periods; reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to handle materials.

  • Position requires frequent moving of approximately 50 pounds.

  • Working in a non-HVAC building, exposure to seasonal & operational impacted temperatures.
