$57.73 | On site in person reporting to Laskin Energy Center in Aurora MN

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, direction, prioritization and scheduling of weekly, daily and after hour activities while complying with environmental rules and all other regulatory laws, including MP standards,on generating units of 300MW or less.

  • Coordinates plant equipment and resources to meet customer requirements while maximizing efficiency within manufacturers specifications.

  • Assists with development of strategic business plan for plant operations.

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills required to establish and maintain working relationships.

  • Has technical expertise and works in all aspects of operations and general maintenance of plant and transitions between duties associated with all areas of plant as needed.

  • Maintains and repairs plant equipment and systems within generation standards, manufacturers’ guidelines and complies with Federal and State laws and regulations, and Company rules. Includes, but not limited to, use of hand tools, power hand tools, minor valve maintenance, lubrication, preventative maintenance tasks, filters and light fixture maintenance.

Education:

  • High school graduate or equivalent

Experience:

  • Over 6 years job related work experience such as but not limited to :working with electrical/electronic equipment, generating units/machinery, generation operations and planning, DCS and PLC technology, and/or some supervisory experience,

Special Requirements:

  • Works rotating 12 hour shifts.

  • Must maintain a Chief Grade “A” State of Minnesota Stationary Engineer License.

  • This position is subject to Audiometric and Pulmonary Function testing.

  • This job falls under the special weighting given to leadership requirements under paragraph 70 of the union contract.

  • Regular and consistent attendance is an essential function of this position.
