Are you searching for meaningful work that ensures the safety of children and helps to build strong families in the community? Then Devereux has an opportunity that will interest you! We are looking for a motivated, dedicated and compassionate individual to be a Kinship Support Specialist!

Based in Davie, FL, this position isresponsible forproviding support and advocacy to help caregivers navigate the child welfare system. In addition, you will provide the required resources to meet each child's physical, emotional, financial, and basic needs throughengaging the identified youth and kinship family in the assessment process, as well as the development of a Family Support Plan. The Kinship Support Specialist is responsible for identifying family needs and driving the implementation of accessing and connecting the family to support the youth placed in their home.

Position Details:

Pay Range: Starts at $23.80 - $27.13 / hour

Salary is based on relevant education and experience.

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or Human Services related field required.

  • Florida Certification Board (FCB) Child Welfare Certification is preferred.

Experience:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency both written and spoken. preferred

  • Two (2) years' experience working with foster families and/or families in the child welfare system. preferred

Other Requirements:

  • Valid Florida driver's license

  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older.

  • Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Test and TB Test.
