Job Duties

The Filter Lab Technician supports our small, hands-on team by producing air filters used for gravimetric analysis in the ambient air industry and engine tests in the emissions industries. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a close-knit environment, takes pride in quality products, and is flexible in helping where needed.

SKILLS

  • High school diploma or college degree or equivalent; prior lab, manufacturing, or assembly line experience is a plus but not required.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow clear, step-by-step directions.

  • Comfortable working in a small team where versatility and a positive attitude are valued.

  • Good manual dexterity and ability to handle small parts and precision tasks.

  • Ability to sit and stand for multiple hours at a time.

  • Able to handle repetitive tasks and motions.

  • Reliable, self-motivated, and willing to learn new tasks as the business grows.

DUTIES

  • Operate and monitor basic assembly equipment such as cutters, presses, sealers, printers, and lasers.

  • Perform routine quality checks on materials and finished products to ensure specifications are met.

  • Maintain accurate production logs and inventory counts.

  • Package, label, and prep completed filters for shipment or further testing.

  • Help maintain an organized, clean workspace, including equipment cleaning, material restocking, and general lab upkeep.

  • Collaborate closely with team members and communicate any issues related to equipment, materials, or product quality.

  • Support cross-functional tasks as needed—common in a small business—such as receiving materials, preparing orders, or assisting in other production areas.

  • Learn, understand, and maintain high quality standards throughout all stations in the lab

  • Communicate openly with team members and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and collaborative work environment.
