Full job description

Our client, a manufacturing industry leader, is seeking an Assembler to join their team. As an Assembler, you will be part of the production department supporting the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Assembler

Location: Dexter, MI

Pay Range: 18 Shift: 1st shift: 4:00am - 2:30pm; 2nd shift: 2:30pm - 1:00am, Monday-Thursday with OT

What's the Job?

  • Identify safety hazards, suggest corrective actions, and follow company safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment.

  • Assemble units using various tools such as hand, power, electric, and air-powered drills, wrenches, grinders, nail/staple guns, paint guns, overhead cranes, and pallet jacks.

  • Perform hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical installations, grinding, and touch-up painting.

  • Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems and verify parts against blueprints.

  • Test, package, crate, and prepare finished goods for shipment or proper storage location.

What's Needed?

  • Ability to operate a forklift if certified, to load/unload trucks and organize materials.

  • Maintain 5S standards and support quality and productivity goals.

  • Complete inventory paperwork and computer transactions as needed.

  • Adhere to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) metrics.

  • Mobility to move within the department/plant as required.
