Lead BA/Delivery Lead

Job Description

Day-to-Day:

• Serve as the lead business analyst across multiple applications and initiatives

• Build strong relationships with business stakeholders and become the trusted face of the technology team

• Partner directly with users to understand operational challenges, workflows, and business objectives

• Translate business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and technical deliverables

• Facilitate discovery sessions, stakeholder meetings, and requirements workshops

• Manage and prioritize JIRA backlogs, epics, stories, and sprint deliverables

• Coordinate efforts across developers, QA teams, product owners, and business users

• Support testing efforts, UAT execution, defect triage, and business sign-off activities

• Track project milestones, dependencies, risks, and delivery status

• Participate in production support, incident assessment, and post-release stabilization activities

• Communicate progress, risks, and key decisions to both business and technical stakeholders

Job Description:

We are seeking a Lead Business Analyst to serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams for a portfolio of critical operational applications. This individual will sit closely with end users, understand business processes and operational needs, and translate those requirements into actionable technical solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis experience with project delivery leadership and stakeholder management skills. They will own relationships with business users, drive requirements gathering, support Agile delivery teams, and ensure successful execution from discovery through production deployment and stabilization.

We're looking for someone who naturally bridges the gap between business and technology. This person should thrive in highly operational environments, enjoy working directly with end users, and be comfortable translating business needs into actionable technical work. Candidates coming from energy, utility, ISO market operations, trading, SCADA, compliance, banking, or financial services environments will stand out, particularly if they have experience supporting time-sensitive operational platforms and serving as the primary relationship owner for business stakeholders.

Pay Rate begins at $45/hr

Skills and Requirements

• 8+ years of Business Analysis experience supporting enterprise applications

• Proven experience leading requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement efforts

• Ability to translate complex business processes into technical requirements, user stories, and delivery plans

• Experience serving as the primary point of contact between business and technology teams

• Strong Agile experience including backlog management, sprint planning, and JIRA administration

• Experience creating and maintaining epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements documentation

• Strong communication skills with executive, business, and technical stakeholders

• Experience managing multiple initiatives and competing priorities simultaneously

• Experience supporting testing, UAT, release readiness, and production stabilization

• Working knowledge of APIs, system integrations, JSON, XML, and data validation concepts

• Advanced Excel skills including data analysis, reporting, and complex formulas • Energy, utilities, power generation, ISO markets, scheduling, trading, or operational systems experience

• Experience supporting open energy markets or market submission platforms

• Familiarity with utility compliance, SCADA systems, or grid operations

• Financial services, banking, trading, or other highly regulated operational environments

• Experience working within DevOps support models

• Production incident management and root cause analysis experience

• Experience coordinating across development, QA, cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, and support teams

• Understanding of cloud-based application environments and AWS ecosystems
