Full job description

Employment Type: Part time Shift: Day Shift

Description: The McAuley is looking for a part-time C.NA certified Wellness Assistant.

We have two opportunities available: Day Shift 16-hour position that is every Saturday and every other Sunday 7-3 and a Per Diem position.

What to expect as a Wellness Assistant at The McAuley

As a Wellness Assistant, your responsibilities extend beyond care – it's a commitment to enhancing lives. You will support residents with their daily living activities, focusing on those with chronic and stable conditions.

Requirements:

  • C.NA Certificate in the State of Connecticut
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Home health care experience preferred

** This role involves lifting, carrying, and assisting with residents up to 250 pounds, standing or walking for most of an eight-hour shift, and performing tasks requiring hand-eye coordination. It also requires wearing protective equipment, distinguishing sounds, reaching or bending for items, reading small print, and maintaining clear communication. Strong focus and interpersonal skills are essential for interacting with residents, staff, and the public.
