Full job description

Our client, an industrial manufacturing organization dedicated to precision and quality, is seeking a Machinist to join their team. As a Machinist, you will be part of the manufacturing department supporting production and quality assurance teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Machinist

Location: Clare, MI

Pay Range: $23

Shift: 6am - 4pm, Monday through Thursday

Friday is scheduled for overtime

What's the Job?

  • Set up and operate conventional, CNC, and special purpose machining centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts.

  • Operate Forklifts, overhead cranes and hoists.

  • Recommend tooling, fixtures, and process improvements to increase efficiency and quality.

  • Perform periodic maintenance on all machine shop equipment to ensure optimal operation.

  • Programs, calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input or edit computerized machine control media.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and QC packets to ensure parts meet specifications.

What's Needed?

  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience in machining or an associate's degree or technical training in a related field.

  • Proficiency in machine setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC and conventional machines.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints accurately.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow safety protocols.
