Our Finance team turns numbers into strategy — shaping the decisions that keep this organization moving forward and advancing medical innovation. As Director of Technical Accounting, you'll be the go-to expert on complex U.S. GAAP and SEC matters, guiding how the company approaches everything from acquisitions to hedging activities. It's a role for someone who enjoys digging into the technical weeds and then translating that complexity into clear guidance for senior leadership.
A Day in the Life

Stay ahead of new GAAP and SEC reporting rules, and explain what they mean for the company's financial reporting

Lead the accounting side of acquisitions — due diligence, purchase accounting, and coordinating with valuation specialists

Review contracts and transactions (hedging, financing, impairments, share-based compensation, pensions) to determine the right accounting treatment

Support divisions across the business with accounting questions tied to divestitures, joint ventures, and impairment assessments

Write up white papers documenting key judgments and conclusions on acquisitions

Build and maintain the company's accounting policies and procedures, and help train others on them

Oversee documentation of internal controls for technical accounting

Jump into ad-hoc projects as they come up
Work Experience
What You'll Bring

A BS/BA in Accounting

At least 10 years of experience in US GAAP and SEC technical accounting

CPA certification
