Pay: $31 per hour

Employment type : Full-time

Work schedule: 12-hour shift; 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Management & Training Corporation and the Graceville Correctional Facility have a unique opportunity for a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work in an environment with a mixture of acute and chronic care settings doing every aspect of patient care from true lifesaving medical emergencies that come through our onsite ER suite to chronic disease management and more.

Primary duties:

  • Under direction of health services administrator, supervising nurse and professional service providers and in accordance with approved treatment protocol, assess condition of and prescribe treatment for detainees reporting to sick call.

  • Assist with provider line; prepare examining room and equipment.

  • Operate pill call, administer medication and document as required by applicable policies and procedures. To include push and or wheel pill cart on facility campus.

  • Control medication, syringes and other medical supplies or equipment as required.

  • Perform emergency procedures as needed and call physician for treatment orders.

Education and experience requirements: High school diploma or equivalent and six (6) months related experience. Graduate of an accredited Licensed Vocational Nursing program. Must possess current, valid vocational nursing license for the state of Florida or a compact state and current CPR certification.
