Overview At Piedmont Walton, a 77-bed community hospital with a 15-bed Emergency Department and 8-bed ICU, our Respiratory Therapists are essential members of a high-performing, interdisciplinary care team. Serving a diverse patient population—from infants to older adults—our RTs provide expert care across a wide spectrum of acute and chronic respiratory conditions.

 

Our therapists work in fast-paced, high-acuity areas including the ER, ICU, and Med-Surg units, supporting everything from mechanical ventilation, intubation, and ABGs to oxygen therapy, EKGs, and EEGs. Qualifications Education

  • Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences Required

Work Experience

  • Previous Working Experience in Neonatal Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level Required

Licenses and Certifications

  • RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners Upon Hire Required and

  • BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and

  • ACLS Upon Hire Required and

  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Upon Hire Required

  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
