Insight Global is seeking a Payroll Audit & Timecard Correction Specialist for a client facing urgent production payroll challenges involving complex union-based calculations. This candidate will step into a highly technical environment where they will design and implement automated solutions to audit payroll data, correct timecard discrepancies, and ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements. The ideal candidate is not a traditional payroll administrator, but rather a technical problem solver with strong scripting capabilities who can quickly interpret complex business logic, resolve production issues, and build scalable automation processes. This is a high-visibility, business-critical engagement with immediate impact and potential for extension based on success.

Skills and Requirements

4–5+ years of experience with time & attendance and payroll systems

Strong experience interpreting and applying collective bargaining agreements (CBA)

Deep understanding of complex union pay rules (EMS/public safety highly relevant)

Proven ability to analyze payroll data, validate calculations, and audit discrepancies

Strong scripting/automation experience (Python or similar)

Ability to understand and troubleshoot complex business-rule logic

Experience developing payroll corrections and reconciliation routines

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail

Ability to work independently and ramp quickly in critical production environments - Python expertise or 10+ years of scripting experience across tools

Experience with UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) or similar timekeeping platforms

Background in EMS, public safety, or union-heavy environments

Experience building automation workflows and post-processing payroll adjustments

Prior experience supporting production payroll issues and system fixes

Exposure to NEOGOV implementations or HR/payroll platform transitions
